Early Grey is one of the most classic blends of tea in the world. According to tradition it was introduced to the West by Charles Grey, second Earl of Grey, to whom a Mandarin friend had given the recipe.
This tea is made from black tea (from Ceylon in this case) flavored with bergamoot, which is an oriental citrus fruit that is considered to be a cross between a sweet orange and a sour one.
